Perennial plant.
Wild garlic is a spice and medicinal herb.
The leaves with a garlic flavour are consumed fresh, dried or frozen.
Garlic is cultivated in shaded areas with moist soil.
Seeds are sown directly into the soil from the end of September to the beginning of November (cold is required for seed germination).

- The leaves are thin, up to 20 cm long, with a clearly distinguishable petiole.
- The plant flowers in May-June.
