The fine green Biflex garden wire (3.5 mm diameter, 10 meters length per roll) is specifically designed for securely tying easily breakable and sensitive plants. The core of the product is a highly flexible metal wire that fixes the plant in the desired position and keeps it stable. This metal core is surrounded by a soft foam layer, whose primary task is to prevent the plant stem from rubbing against a rough support stake and to prevent tissue damage even in windy weather.
As this is a slender, 3.5 mm diameter variant, it is ideally suited for supporting lighter and finer plants – such as climbing roses, clematis, houseplants, tall annuals, or young seedlings. The ten-meter roll is practical and economical, allowing the gardener to always cut a piece of the exact length required for the situation. The green finish ensures the tie blends into the foliage, creating a clean and tidy appearance in the garden.
Usage and Cultivation Instructions:
-
Visually estimate the required length of the tie and cut a suitable piece of wire from the roll using pliers or sharp scissors.
-
Wrap the wire around the support post and the plant stem so that the soft foam is in direct contact with the plant.
-
Secure the tie by twisting the ends of the wire together a few times. Deliberately leave a little free space around the stem for the plant’s natural growth.
Tips and recommendations:
-
Avoid tightening the wire too much around a young shoot – the plant needs room to thicken, otherwise the growth point may deform.
-
The flexible metal and durable foam allow longer pieces of wire to be removed from plants in autumn, straightened, and reused the following spring.
-
Indoors, this fine wire is excellent for subtly guiding the long flower stems of orchids to orchid supports.
