Iron sulfate (iron vitriol) 3kg – Your secret weapon for a moss-free and strong lawn
Product description:
Is your dream lawn buried under moss and lost its luster? Iron sulfate (also known as iron vitriol) is an effective solution based on natural minerals that helps restore the lawn’s vitality. It is not just moss control – it is a lawn health booster.
Why choose Baltic Agro iron sulfate?
-
Double effect: The product effectively inhibits the spread of moss by making the acidic environment unsuitable for it, while simultaneously strengthening the lawn plants.
-
Greener result: Iron is an essential micronutrient for plants. Its use intensifies photosynthesis, making the lawn color deep green and dense.
-
Safe for the lawn: When used correctly, it does not burn the lawn but nourishes it.
How to use iron sulfate?
For the best results, use the product from April to October. Avoid use during drought or heavy rain.
You have two options for application:
-
Dry method: Sow the fine granules evenly onto the lawn surface.
-
Application rate: 3 kg is sufficient for treating 300 m².
-
-
Watering solution (Faster action): Dissolve the granules in water and water the lawn.
-
Ratio: 200 g of product per 10 liters of water (sufficient for 20 m²).
-
What happens after use? After using iron sulfate, you will notice the moss turning black – this is a sign of the process working.
-
Wait until the moss has completely dried/blackened.
-
Rake the black moss out of the lawn carefully (this also aerates the lawn roots).
-
Fill the resulting gaps with fresh soil and sow new lawn seed.
Expert recommendation: For comprehensive care, we recommend liming the lawn in spring or autumn (to regulate soil pH) and fertilizing regularly with a special lawn fertilizer during the growing season.
⚠️ Important reminder! Iron sulfate is a potent substance. Under the influence of moisture, the product may leave brown rust stains on clothes, shoes, terrace boards, curbs, and paving stones.
-
-
Handle the product with care.
-
If granules land on stone surfaces, remove them immediately by dry sweeping/brushing (do not use water, as it creates a stain).
