WHY PEANUTS ARE USEFUL FOR BIRDS

Peanuts are naturally high in fat.
Fat provides ample energy for the daily activities of birds – flying, pruning, protecting the nest, raising cubs, singing and much more.
High-fat foods such as peanuts are especially important in winter or during the spring and autumn cold seasons.
Birds need extra calories to maintain body heat during the cold.
However, peanuts also provide fiber, calcium, potassium and other nutrients that are part of the bird’s varied diet.
These nuts do not spoil as quickly as other high-fat feeds.
