Compressed coco substrate (0.6 kg brick, which expands to 10 liters of soil) is a universal, clean, and breathable growing medium. It is ideal for seed germination, planting bulbs, repotting indoor plants, and improving the physical properties of garden soil. Coconut fiber (0.5–1 mm fraction) ensures an excellent balance of air and moisture at the roots, preventing suffocation and waterlogging.
The product is enriched with a balanced starter fertilizer NPK 20:20:20 + TE (trace elements) (5 g per brick). This equal ratio of nutrients gives young plants a strong start:
-
Nitrogen (N) supports the rapid growth of the first leaves and shoots.
-
Phosphorus (P) helps the young plant develop a strong and viable root system.
-
Potassium (K) regulates the plant’s water regime and increases resistance to stress and diseases.
The pH level of the substrate is 5.2–6.8, which is optimal and suitable for most common garden crops and indoor plants. The high organic matter content (92.3%) improves soil structure.
Instructions for use and cultivation:
-
Place the 0.6 kg coco brick in a sufficiently large container (e.g., a bucket or planting box).
-
Pour 3 liters of warm water over the brick.
-
Wait about 15 minutes until the coconut fiber absorbs the water and fully expands.
-
Before use, mix the substrate thoroughly by hand to ensure a uniform texture.
-
Use pure coco substrate for growing seeds and cuttings or mix it with regular garden soil in equal parts (1:1) to make the soil in garden beds looser. Also suitable for mulching shrubs and plants.Safety and storage: Use gardening gloves when handling the product and follow general hygiene rules. Keep out of reach of children. Store the brick in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
Tips and recommendations:
-
Using warm water is important as it significantly speeds up the expansion process and immediately creates a warm environment suitable for seed germination.
-
Mixing coco substrate with regular potting peat prevents soil compaction and surface crusting. This significantly facilitates subsequent watering of indoor and summer flowers, as water is absorbed evenly.
-
If all 10 liters of substrate were not used immediately, store the remaining expanded mass in a tightly sealed plastic bag to prevent it from drying out before the next use.
