The Kelt Ant Gel Bait Station is a ready-to-use and highly attractive biocidal gel bait specifically developed for the effective control of black garden ants (Lasius niger), Argentine ants, and other common species. This practical solution is ideal for both residential use and for professionals in larger buildings.
The gel bait is water-based and enriched with sugar components, making it irresistibly attractive to ants. The effectiveness of the control agent lies in its delayed action: worker ants do not die immediately in the station but carry the poisoned bait back to their nest. There, the entire colony and the queen are fed with it, eventually leading to the total destruction of the entire nest. The active ingredient attacks the pests’ nervous system, first causing paralysis and then the death of the insects.
To increase safety, the poison is placed in a closed plastic station. Additionally, an extremely bitter substance (denatonium benzoate) has been added to the gel, which makes the product unpleasant for humans and pets and effectively helps prevent accidental ingestion.
Instructions for use and application:
-
Open the product packaging. To activate the bait station, break off the 3 tabs from the station by pressing them lightly toward the sides.
-
Always place the station on a horizontal surface so that the gel stays in place and does not leak out.
-
Indoors: Place 1 bait station per 10 m², preferably directly on a visible ant trail, near cracks, or along walls. Indoors, the gel’s protective effect lasts up to 4 weeks.
-
Outdoors: Place 1 bait station near the entrance of each discovered ant nest. Ensure the station is protected from rain and direct sunlight (for example, conceal it lightly with a tile or piece of wood, leaving free access for the ants).Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
Tips and recommendations:
-
Do not use other insecticidal aerosols or strong-smelling household chemicals near the station. These repel ants and prevent them from carrying the sweet gel to the nest.
-
If you notice a large number of ants around the station, do not crush them or attempt to remove them mechanically. Let the insects work undisturbed – the more bait they carry to the nest, the more surely and quickly the colony will be destroyed.
-
Despite the added bittering agent and closed design, always place bait stations in locations where small children or curious pets cannot access them to play.
