Protects fruit trees against frost damage. Ready-to-use paint for whitening woody plants and protecting them from frost cracks and heat. Pathogens enter the tree through wounds, which can lead to the tree’s death. The special reflective coating prevents uneven heating on sunny days, thereby avoiding trunk tension and tears. The bark remains undamaged and healthy.
Instructions for use
Application rate for smooth bark is approx. 270 g/m2 (use 1.5 kg for up to 5.6 m2 of bark surface). Remove loose bark pieces from the trunk. Apply the paint from the crown downwards on the trunk. Can be used year-round at temperatures above 0°C. Especially important to use from November to March. Store in a frost-free place. The paste is thixotropic, meaning it becomes spreadable upon application. For larger quantities, it can be diluted with water at a 1:2 ratio. Setting time in dry weather is approximately 2 hours.
Spraying method. Dilute the paste with water at a 1:3 ratio. Use a garden sprayer and a special lime-spraying nozzle for application to the trunk. Wear protective goggles. Use the water-diluted solution as soon as possible. Any leftovers can be disposed of with household waste. The white paint is usually washed off the tree trunk slowly over a few months. The product is specially developed so that the white color does not disturb the garden’s aesthetics in summer. Persistent rain may lead to faster wear of the paint; therefore, do not apply the white paint to the trunk too early before winter.
Note! The white paint contains slaked lime, which is a refined natural product (also found in mortar, etc.).
Slaked lime is alkaline and therefore classified as damaging to the eyes. The irritating effect is solely due to the high pH value. The product does not contain toxic substances.
ATTENTION!
Causes serious eye damage. Causes skin irritation. In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.
