The Gardlov 110 cm tall solar-powered garden light “Peacock” is a practical and durable metal garden decoration. It is a functional solution for highlighting and illuminating flower beds, planting areas, or terrace edges without additional cabling or electricity costs. The light relies on a built-in solar panel and a 300 mAh capacity battery. Under optimal conditions, the device charges in 6–8 hours during the day and can keep the lights on for 8–10 hours when fully charged.
A light-sensitive dusk sensor is integrated into the decoration, which independently turns on the 40 multi-colored LED lights at nightfall and off at dawn. The product’s IP44 moisture resistance level ensures protection against daily weather phenomena, such as rain and heavy dew. The iron construction provides strength and stability in windier weather, while the 180-degree rotatable solar panel allows the user to find the most favorable angle for charging to capture the maximum amount of sunlight.
Usage and Cultivation Instructions:
-
Assemble the light components according to the instructions in the package, connecting the metal bird figure, the extension tube, and the 3-part ground stake.
-
Select a location in the garden that receives as much direct sunlight as possible during the day. Avoid dense shade from buildings and large trees.
-
Push the ground stake firmly into the soil. In case of stony or very hard ground, pre-drill a hole with a suitable tool to prevent the metal leg from bending.
-
Switch the button on the panel to the “ON” position. Set the tilt of the solar panel so that it faces directly toward the midday sun.
-
Before the first full use, allow the light to charge for at least one full sunny day.
Tips and recommendations:
-
Clean the surface of the solar panel occasionally with a soft, damp cloth. Dust, soil, and fallen leaves on the panel significantly reduce battery charging efficiency and shorten the lighting time.
-
Ensure that the light is not located in the immediate vicinity of other strong artificial light sources (such as street lamps or motion-sensor floodlights) – strong additional light can mislead the dusk sensor and prevent the LED lights from turning on.
-
During the winter period with prolonged freezing temperatures and thick snow, it is recommended to remove the decoration from the ground and store it in a dry room. This protects the battery from frost damage and extends the life of the entire device.
