Malatec plastic shoe stretchers (size S, suitable for shoe sizes 39-43) are a practical tool for adapting new, tight, or uncomfortable shoes to the wearer’s individual foot shape. This device helps prevent painful blisters, rubbing, and discomfort by precisely stretching the shoe material where it pinches the foot most, while preserving the shoe’s original form.
Constructed from durable ABS plastic with an iron core, the stretchers’ length and width are smoothly adjustable via a screw mechanism. The set includes two stretchers and ten removable attachments: eight asymmetrical plugs for expanding specific pressure points (such as bunions or corns), and two height-increasing plugs to elevate the instep area of the shoe. This allows for stretching the shoe in anatomically correct areas, making even the stiffest footwear comfortable for daily wear.
Usage and Maintenance Instructions:
-
Before use, ensure that the shoes are completely clean and dry inside.
-
If necessary, insert the black plastic plugs into the holes on the stretcher precisely in the areas requiring additional stretching.
-
Insert the stretcher deep into the shoe. Carefully turn the metal adjustment screw until you feel tension in the shoe material. Do not stretch the shoe with excessive force to prevent tearing seams or material.
-
Leave the stretcher under tension in the shoe for at least 24–48 hours. If necessary, repeat the process, gradually increasing tension.
Tips and recommendations:
-
For natural leather shoes, it is recommended to use a special leather softening spray (stretching spray) before stretching. This makes the leather more elastic, prevents cracks, and accelerates the achievement of the desired result.
-
After use, store the stretchers in a dry room and away from direct heat sources to prevent deformation of the ABS plastic and rusting of the metal threads.
-
Use the device only within the specified size range (39-43). Forcing the stretcher into significantly smaller shoes may cause the mechanism to jam or break.
